Welcome to week 31 of The Documented Life Project !
July 26 - Create a Pocket - Fill it with Treasure from Your Week.
I liked this challenge because I am hooked on pockets of any kind! I love tucking things away. I used a shipping tag for my pocket and opted to skip a tip in for the week, adhering my pocket directly to the page instead. I created a two page layout similar to an art journal page, giving myself a bright and colorful background to work with.
I used the Gelli Plate and a stencil to create a base on my shipping tag. Next I just added color with some paint, a stamp and some free motion stitching. I did not stitch my tag right to the page, as the paper in the Moleskine is so lightweight. Instead I added stitching first to the tag, then adhered the tag to the page using a heavy duty two sided tape. I will add notes to a card like this one and a few little tidbits from my week as I collect them. Hand Dyed Ribbon adds a great pop of color to both the tag pocket and the note card!
This week's supplies: Uniball Signo White Gel Pen, Washi Tape similar to this one, White Gloss Paint, Two sided tape, Art Journal Paper, Collection Card Pack 2, Pink and Purple Paint Pen, Stabilo Marks All, and a UHU glue stick.
Enjoy this week's challenge and I can't wait to see what you create!
